Abandoned Movie Set (2012)

I love abandoned places as nature merges with the man made creating an artistic tableau of architecture and encroaching nature. The model Vassanta and I set out one beautiful Fall day on an adventure to an abandoned movie set in the Deep South. We had a fun day capturing these emotionally charged images among the overgrown classic ruins of southern home and church architecture, swamps and Spanish Moss.  I have shot in the ruins of other movie sets.  It is fun to spot the buildings in the films and compare them  to their current state.  It amazes me the amount of effort to build these sets for such a short use, or often, shown as seconds in the final film.
