Australia / New Zealand
Australia / New Zealand Trip Story (2009) Using my second attendance at an international gathering of photographers and models in Queensland, Australia as a starting point, I traveled first for a week to New Zealand with a small group of friends shooting/exploring the north part of the South Island and traveling through Hobbit landscapes on the North Island (even finding a sculpture garden). Then headed to Australia Great Barrier Reef shooting along the coast and off shore islands. The coasts and locations were mostly unpopulated and wild giving us the freedom to create among the mangroves and natural beaches. We also got to explore the jungles near by (and the pesky black flies too). We discovered jungle streams with rapids flowing through boulders and meandering among the ferns and palm trees. After a trip to a crocodile farm, I was alarmed to discover that many of streams or rivers we frolicked and created in probably had some "friends" sizing us up for lunch.
